I love to try new things. Maybe it is our adventurous spirit. Maybe it is our thirst for always breaking boundaries creatively. Whatever it is, I like it.
Last year I started doing a little fusion photography. What is that you say? It is a way to mix video and still images. I wouldn’t consider myself a videographer but merely a photographer with an eye for telling the story of your day through both mediums. Betsy and Lewis wanted a videographer last minute for their wedding this past October. Well, Octobers are always the busiest month for us creatives so unfortunately, all of our recommended vendors were already booked. I showed Betsy a video I created for another client last year and she loved it. She hired us to tell her story through this fusion style.
I still take pictures at the weddings (this is Lucy, hi) but I just mix in those moments with switching to video on the same camera. It isn’t a big fuss and it runs pretty smooth. Before we started offering these services for everyone, we wanted to do it half a dozen times or so and work out all the kinks.
So, the good and EXCITING news….we now offer this service to our couples. The video is typically 4-5 minutes long and a mix of video and images we captured that day. There are no microphones and no speaking, it is just beautifully captured and put to music.
I hope you guys are as excited as we are to be offering this!
Enjoy Betsy & Lewis’ beautiful story.
